Letterman talks puppy problems on The View...

Jenny Slate is done on SNL. She only lasted one season and it's unclear if she quit or was canned. Remember how she infamously introduced herself?

On a brighter note, Amy Poehler will host the SNL season premiere on September 25th. Katy Perry will be the musical guest.

Maybe he just likes working with his kids (or living off them.) Billy Ray Cyrus is doing another show. This time with his 21-year-old son Trace who's in the band Metro Station. It's a documentary-style show for the SyFy channel where they investigate all kinds of weird and unexplained phenomena.

The Betty White comic book is coming out this November. Check it out.

Charlie Sheen's estranged wife Brooke is in a new program and it's got nothing to do with rehab. Her rep says she's in an intensive physical fitness program in Southern California. The rumour is it's all for a new reality show, co-starring Paris Hilton and other celebs, with the theme being lifestyles.

Pam Anderson's is clinging on to her Dancing With the Stars gig. Pam and her season 10 partner Damien Whitewood are planning a world tour. They've already got the ball rolling with an appearance on Australia's DWTS.

Kanye sings the blues and Kara leaves Idol!

Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston beware. The National Inquirer says John Mayer lost his cell phone and there's a ton of "compromising" stuff on it! Word is John has photos and video of some of his ex-girlfriends on the cell.

Turns out Taylor Lautner is turning his diva moment into a good thing. Earlier this summer, we heard he was suing an RV company because a trailer he wanted to use on his movie set was never delivered. Well, he got his $40,000 settlement and he's donating the money to charity! Aww! That's so sweet. It's a children's charity called The Lollipop Theatre Network.

We should find out sometime this week what's up with the new judges panel on American Idol. Kara DioGuardi announced she's leaving the show. It's still anybody's guess whether or not she was fired or quit. Rumour is Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith have signed on, but there's still one more spot available.

Looks like alot of us need a little Snooki in our life! Jersey Shore got another ratings record last Thursday when 6.5 million people tuned in. The show is averaging about 5.6 million an episode this season - almost double last season.

Jerry Lewis' 45th annual Labor Day telethon for the Muscular Dystrophy Association raised $58.9 million!

An estimated 40 million viewers tuned in for some of the telethon, which was broadcast on 170 TV stations. This Friday, a ton of celebs will be on hand for the Stand Up to Cancer  telethon which will broadcast on ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox.

It's pretty clear Jesse James has moved on. Evidence.

Bucky Gunts. The boys and I recap the Emmys.

"Modern Family" cleaned up with six awards including those Creative Arts Emmys that were given out last week. That was the most for any network series.  Its only acting award was Eric Stonestreet's win for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy. Great acceptance speech.

Jane Lynch won her first Emmy for her supporting role on Glee. Jim Parsons also scored his first Emmy statue for Best Actor in a Comedy for The Big Bang Theory.

Lea Michele from Glee celebrated her 24th birthday at the Emmy's last night. Up for Best Actress in a Comedy, she lost out to Edie Falco for Nurse Jackie.

Ricky Gervais definitely left his mark on the show presenting for Best Directing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Show. The Director of the opening ceremonies at the Vancouver Olympics won. Watch the hilarious presentation.

Another mug shot for Paris Hilton. She was arrested Friday night in Vegas on suspicion of cocaine possession. Police say they smelled pot coming from her boyfriends car and as they were checking it out, she opened her purse to get out her lip gloss. That's when cops say they spotted a little bag of coke. She was released from jail on Saturday. She claims the purse belonged to a friend and the drugs weren't hers.
